Research at the HAW Hamburg is split into many other areas and covers a wide variety of topics. Hamburg has been greatly shaped by both its port and aviation industries, and as such, the HAW Hamburg also focuses much of its research on aviation technology ― pivotal in a city home to Airbus and Lufthansa Technik. The HAW Hamburg focuses on several main areas of research in particular, including sustainable energies, IT, mobility and health.
